IF YOUR COIL WIRE IS TO SHORT OR JUST BAD DON'T BUY A NEW COIL. THIS KIT WILL EXTEND YOUR PLUG WIRE UP TO 2 FOOT. YOU CAN PUT THE SPLICER UNDER THE TANK WHERE NO ONE CAN SEE IT. THE PLUG CAP AND THE SPLICER ARE BOTH MADE BY NGK. THIS IS A VERY CLEAN LOOKING, AND WORKING FIX.

BTW, those things are great; I don't redo a bike without them any more. Seems like every coil wire I run into is very dry and brittle out where it's been exposed, but is in pretty decent shape back near the coil. Probably because it's not exposed to sunlight and heat back there. I figure fifteen bucks for the coil wire kit is cheap insurance rather than running on a 40-year-old brittle coil wire. It's just not worth the trouble to NOT do it.
